Billion Plaza II
This is the new home of Billion Auto Group, who were originally located on Main & 19th. They outgrew their capacity and thus decided to relocate and expand their business. GMC and Buick are located in Building 1, The Nissan Dealership occupies Building 2 and the Dodge-Chrysler Jeep are housed in Building 3; still leaving additional space for them to grow on the north side of their lot. The design of the structures needed to meet corporate architecture requirement according to the dealership manufacturers but they also had to meet the city of Bozeman’s design guidelines which were more stringent and very different to corporate architecture design requirements. We had to float that line between the two to make this project happen.
From a Master Planning standpoint, we had to make sure that the site did not look like scattered asphalt and steel blocks with grid parking lot, so we resorted to more natural forms in the layout planning and bolstered it with landscaping to achieve more organic transitions and a more pleasing drive-through for the customers.
