Butterfly Residence
The Butterfly Residence is a part of the Black Bull luxury golf course community located to the west of Bozeman; this was one of the first homes Bayliss Architects designed in the area. The primary design cues for this project were to have a very modern formal language with more traditional Montana-style rustic materials. We took advantage of the butterfly roof form in glulam construction along with standing seam metal panels on key elements and offsetted it with the very rustic siding. The form enabled us to set up big views out of the Great room, Kitchen and Bedrooms to maximize the golf course view all around.
